As our Quality Engineer, located in Garden Grove, you will be responsible for ensuring product build is done in an efficient manner that meets customer’s quality expectations. You will be a part of a knowledgeable and well-diverse engineering team who loves to have fun and get stuff done! 

You’ll enjoy working in a fun, collaborative, and fast (high-mix/low-volume) manufacturing operation. 

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Must have In-depth knowledge of highly technical engineering principles and processes
• Must know how to apply Engineering knowledge and related codes and standards in analyzing and developing effective assembly systems, generating specifications, and delivering technical presentations to clients
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required
• Must be able to manage others
• Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills

What are you Accountable for?

• Interface with the customer with the customer regularly to resolve quality issues
• Lead & Conduct Process and Workmanship trainings (i.e. IPC-620, J-STD, NASA) as required by management
• Operate as the lead customer technical interface - aggregate issues between production, engineering, and quality depts and communicate them to our Customers (in the format required by the customer)
• Communicating Customer technical requirements (i.e. workmanship specifications) through the organization
• Ensure production plots (form boards) properly define the requirements to ensure overall product conformity 
• Actively participate, manage, and oversee the efficient creation/interpretation of test programs, when test files are available from the customer
• Lead and participate in the Root Cause/Corrective Action process that impacts our production and/or inspection processes.
• Prepare and oversee the preparation of engineering designs, mechanical data sheets, code calculations, and design specifications
• Define the department’s engineering activity layout and design of workflow and tooling requirements;
• Lead internal audits per AS9100 and QMS
• Represent El-Com’s Quality Department for Customer CAR and/or Customer audits
• Actively participate, manage, and oversee the efficient creation/interpretation of test programs, when test files are available from the customer
• Participate as a test file checker and/or creator when required
• Creation of production files for the production, if required
• Creation of Quality insurance file, and implementation of customer's requirement in the QC clause
• Other duties as assigned
